STUDIO VISIT: TRAVESS SMALLEY
Travess Smalley recently invited me over to his studio in Jersey City to check out some of his recent work. Travess is one of my favorite artists, and it was a real pleasure to see what he’s been up to lately.

vases (cardboard, glass, compound, pigment, acrylic paint) recently exhibited in “Soft Light Blend,” a one-night show held at envoy enterprises back in february.

top: booklet from “Rendered Aura,” a solo show he had at gloria marina gallery (milan) back in november. (on the other side is an essay by Ceci Moss)
bottom: “Optical Textures,” a casual edition he created in a single day - four individal 8.5x11” pages, each with its own pattern, collected together in a sleeve.
